"We hope that our brotherhood with Azerbaijan will remain, and at the same time we will find out the truth and the work of the commission will be well conducted," the Patriarchal locum tenens, Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku Diocese, Reverend Shio said after the service at David Gareja.
According to him, David Gareja is a very important monastery, also called the Athos of Georgia. According to him, the truth will be established on the given issue.
"Today, we pray to Father David for this situation to change. You know that the bilateral commission works on the case, a new commission, and I hope that this one is much more principled than it was in the previous period," said Reverend Shio.
The high priest also noted that, according to him, the work of the bilateral commission would resume shortly.
