According to the Roads Department of Georgia, trailers and semi-trailers are allowed on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway after snow removal efforts have been completed.
"All vehicles are now permitted on the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway of international importance.
The National Environment Agency says that unimpeded movement of vehicles on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the highway is possible through anti-avalanche tunnels only.
One-way traffic flow will be permitted in tunnels for trailers and semi-trailers, and buses with more than 30-seat capacity.
Patrol police officers will control the traffic flow," the statement by the Roads Department reads.
