The Roads Department of Georgia says that traffic has been banned on some sections of highways.
"Heavy snow and icy roads have resulted in banning trailers and semi-trailers from the km-65-km 98 section of the Ponichala-Marneuli-Geguti highway, while other modes of transport are permitted.
Low temperatures and icy road conditions have led to banning of all modes of vehicles at km1-km62 section of the Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi highway, which is of international significance" the Roads Department says.
