Secretary of State to Pope, Cardinal Pietro Parolini, congratulated the Prime Minister of Georgia with the release of Vazha Gaprindashvili. They reviewed it during the meeting.
According to Giorgi Gakharia, he values the friendly relationships between Georgia and the Holly Church and is ready for further cooperation. The Prime Minister says that this high-level meeting is one more proof of bilateral relationships.
The Prime Minister’s press-service informed Report.ge that the main topic for discussion was the country’s challenges and occupied territories. The Prime Minister thanked the Holly Church for assured support of Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The parties discussed the opportunities of cooperation in the sphere of culture and education. The particular importance of the scholarship programs, which allows Georgian students to study religious sciences in Rome and music in the leading conservatories of Italy, was emphasized.
