Servicemen's vaccination enters active phase, says MOD of Georgia

Servicemen are being vaccinated against coronavirus in the Defense Forces of Georgia, with the vaccination process entering an active phase. 

At Giorgi Abramishvili military hospital, servicemen of the First Infantry battalion received coronavirus shots today, Report News Agency informs, referring to the Defense Ministry. 

The ministry also says that the vaccination of the personnel at the Defense Ministry and Defense forces is in progress at Gori military hospital and Kutaisi medical center in accordance with the national and interagency plans. 

International mission participants have also been vaccinated. 

A total of 17% of the Defense Ministry has received jabs. 

Additional locations are also set to be designated for vaccination. 

If the corresponding will emerges, the Defense Ministry will ensure the vaccination of employees' family members in compliance with safety procedures. 

The process is being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour, and Social Affairs of Georgia, and the NCDC.
