There are 12 tents set up at the central office of the United National Movement, where up to 200 people are on hunger strike demanding the release of Mikheil Saakashvili. Several of them became incapacitated, which is why they were taken to hospital.
According to UNM member Zaal Udumashvili, several people who were taken to the clinic stopped hunger strikes as their health is constantly monitored.
"Each subsequent day will be even more difficult for the protesters. Maximum control is being exercised over their health. We took another protester to the clinic. He became incapacitated and needed medical intervention, although most of the hunger strikers are stable and feel normal. Therefore, the rally continues, and this rally has a very important goal," said Zaal Udumashvili.
The hunger strike started seven days ago at the UNM headquarters.
