According to the 2018 report by the Public Defender, a six-fold increase has been detected in cancer diagnosis in adolescent for the last 5 years, with the patients being provided with effective and available healthcare services.

“Cancer patients’ conditions are rather critical, with cancer diagnoses having been increased six times for the last five years, with 14% death rate being attributed to this disease. Unfortunately, a united state programme does not exist, and only expensive treatment courses and medicines are available for patients within different programmes,” reads the report.

The Ombudsmen advises the government to formulate the corresponding programme for timely detection of diseases and availability of treatment for patients.
