SOCAR continues to support the sports project Active Life is My Passion for persons with disabilities.
This time, the Tbilisi Sea Club hosted a sports adventure for military servicemen and veterans wounded in peacekeeping missions. The Youth Media Connection, together with the Sailor's Union of Tbilisi, held an inclusive regatta in our region for the first time.
Professional sailors instructed the participants. Sixteen people participated in the activities, with four winners awarded with diplomas and medals.
An inclusive cycling marathon took place for persons with disabilities on Lisi Lake organized by Youth Media Connection after an interval. One of the organizers was Achilles.
The event took place within the framework of the project Active Life is My Passion and launched in Georgia to establish the international organization Achilles and its official representatives in the country Achilles Tbilisi Georgia. It is noteworthy that the Para-Cycling Federation was set up by wounded servicemen. Professional and newcomer cyclists joined the marathon.
The project helps motivate wounded servicemen and veterans to stay active and showcase their capabilities in various sports.
For two years now, SOCAR, together with Europebet, has supported the project Active Life is My Passion. More than 500 persons with disabilities, wounded servicemen, and veterans participate every year.
