The 16th South Caucasus Media Conference on Media Empowerment is being held in Georgia. The conference is organized by the OSCE Office of Media Freedom.
The conference aims to discuss media freedom development and the ongoing changes in digital media across the region.
Harlem Desir, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media opened the conference.
Tamar Chugoshvili, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament addressed the public.
"For the past 16 years this conference has been held for the Caucasus region, together with our neighbors Armenia and Azerbaijan we had the opportunity to talk about media processes in the country" Chugoshvili said.
