The Prime Minister addressed the President of Georgia regarding the prolongation of the state of emergency until May 22. The government spokesman revealed the information during a briefing at the administration.
"As soon as the President announces the order to extend the state of emergency, this decision will come into force and will be adopted by the Parliament later. Fighting the mass spread of the virus allows the country's healthcare system to be prepared for treatment and deal with all of it successfully. Our task is taking care of the health of the citizens and economy of the country to minimize the damage from this global challenge," Irakli Chikovani said.
The Interagency Coordinating Council decided to ban the movement of the traffic for another week.
