According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, the rate of coronavirus spread in children in Georgia is high. As Gabunia explained after the completion of the Coordination Council, the Ministry has increased the number of pediatric beds.
"I would like to emphasize that we have mobilized pediatric beds for the past two or three days, which indicates a high rate of infection in children.
Up to 200 pediatric beds have been mobilized in Tbilisi, which was unloaded during the second or third wave of the epidemic, they have already been overloaded, and we had to mobilize additional beds. The risks of spreading the infection are increasing," Gabunia said.
