Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze says that a new payment system in public transport enables citizens to choose between seven different payment packages.
In Khmaladze's words, the new limitless system will be introduced in the country from Feb 1, with new packages to be sold starting from Jan 5.
Khmaladze stressed that citizens could choose between seven different options and buy the most beneficial package for them. As the vice-mayor noted, the new system will also be incorporated in mini-buses, with citizens being enabled to travel in a bus and then a mini-bus without paying an additional fare.
Also, in Khmaladze's words, social benefits will apply to school and university students, teachers, and the underprivileged section of the public, with them having access to free travel or reduced tariffs.
A one-time travel fare is increasing in Georgia.
