Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze says that his friends abroad sent him remdesivir, and he cannot understand why people passed judgment on him.
"I am entitled to take a drug even if the WHO does not approve it. People started slamming me, saying why the drug proved available to me, but not to others. The issue is simple: the drug supply does not exist here yet. It has been publicized that after my recovery, precisely, the day before yesterday, the order was signed, and the drug will be imported in two weeks," Tsertsvdze said.
Tengiz Tsertsvadze tested positive for the new coronavirus on 17 November. After the infectious disease specialist's health deteriorated, he took remdesivir, and his health improved.
