"In order not to impose restrictions in the country, it is important to start mass vaccination, wear a mask and refrain from crowded gatherings," the Director of the Center for Infectious Diseases and AIDS, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, told report.ge.
According to Tsertsvadze, people miss normal life, and it will be challenging to impose further restrictions, which government understands.
"They are monitoring the epidemic situation. So far, no decision has been made regarding the restrictions, except for a few selective ones. Returning to the main restrictions has not been considered yet.
In order not to impose restrictions, we need one thing, which unfortunately our population does not do. That is mass vaccination, the rate of which should increase from tomorrow.
The second and more important is the mass wearing of masks and refraining from crowded gatherings to avoid restrictions.
As for the third wave, it has not started yet, but there are signs of it approaching," Tengiz Tsertsvadze told Report.ge.
