The first patient infected with coronavirus is cured. Marina Ezugbaia, the Clinical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital, made the statement.
According to her, the mentioned patient was under doctors’ observation for 24 hours, and after the second test confirms virus-negative, the patient will be released.
“The first patient was confirmed virus-positive on February 26. On the 14th day, another test was done showing little concentration of the virus. The test made yesterday showed COVID-19-negative result. It is essential to repeat the test within the next 24 hours, and if it confirms negative, the patient is completely cured” - Ezugbaia said.
There are twenty-five cases of coronavirus in Georgia at the moment. Two hundred and forty-five people are in quarantine, and fifty-eight remain under doctors’ observation.
