The government addressed society and businesses to strictly follow the indications to enable restoring the country's economy in the shortest time.
The inter-agency Coordinating Council reviewed the methods of pursuance of the recommendations and imposed restrictions in thematic groups under the leadership of Giorgi Gakharia.
The meeting discussed regional operating open agrarian markets. The Ministry of Environment and Agriculture will strictly control the implementation of the rules dictated by the state of emergency. The social distance has to be maintained according to the norms. The Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, Ministry of Health, and NCDC will disinfect the markets by special technique.
The local production medical masks and disinfection aids were also the topics for the meeting discussion. According to the information provided by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the distribution of the medical masks of local production will start from March 23. Initially, the masks will be distributed for free for single people above 70, and later to all prioritized groups of the private sector, who are in direct contact with the customers.
At the same time, they decided that all citizens will be placed in a 14-day quarantine. The quarantine spaces will have to be mobilized.
The first and the utmost priority for the government is citizens’ health care, and detention of the virus spread as much as possible, hence the government plans to bring the citizens of Georgia temporarily residing according to the plan, step by step.
