The USA to launch $7 million educational programs in Georgia

The American party will implement seven million dollars’ worth of educational programs in the frames of Georgia-America strategic partnership. The Ministry of Education of Georgia provides the information.

International Cooperation and Cultural Exchange working group meeting reviewed the seven million dollars’ project financed by USAID. It is a five-year project aimed at to support the development of literacy, math’s thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills at first stage students of secondary education institutions.

It also considers support of the university level programs related to the creation of a student-oriented educational environment at schools.

According to the information of the Ministry, the working group also considered the expansion of the Fulbright program.

According to the initiative of the American party, the project of English Language Study Assistant (ETA) will also be implemented, targeting the support of the internalization process of regional high education institutes.

The Agreement will be signed in the spring and will be implemented in cooperation with the LEPL International Center of Education in the framework of the Fullbright program.
