According to the decision of the Tbilisi City Court, all seven defendants arrested for the violence against TV Pirveli cameraman Lekso Lashkarava and Miranda Baghaturia, a journalist of the same TV Channel, remained in custody.

At today's hearing, the detention of Davit Kutaladze, Tornike Gavashelidze, Gia Giguashvili, Tsotne Chikhladze, Otar Gelashvili, and Akaki Nakashidze was reviewed and remained in force.

Tbilisi City Court has also remanded in custody Mukhran Dadvani, accused of assaulting InterpressNews photojournalist Giorgi Nikolishvili.

Prosecutors demanded that the detainee be remanded in custody because they believed there were still threats of the accused committing a new crime, hiding and influencing witnesses.

The defense did not agree with the motion of the prosecutor. As the lawyers and their clients claimed, they did not commit any crime. Part of the lawyers demanded the release of their clients on GEL 5000 bail.

The investigation into the acts of violence against media representatives on Rustarveli Avenue and obstruction of professional activities was launched under Articles 154 (unlawful interference with a journalist's professional activities) and 126 (violence) of the Criminal Code of Georgia. In total, the case has 31 defendants and 57 victims.
