Traffic restrictions have been put in place for Kutaisi-Tkhibuli-Ambrolauri road, Roads Department of Georgia has informed report.ge. According to the body, trailers and semitrailers have been banned at km35-km38 section of Kutaisi(Motsameta)-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri highway due to heavy snow. Other vehicles are permitted.
Because of heavy snowfall and avalanche alerts, restrictions have been imposed on traffic movement for a section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway, where all types of vehicles have been banned.
At km100-km186 section of Lakhamula-Ushguli, trailers, semitrailers and buses with more than 30 seats capacity have been banned. Other vehicles are permitted provided that all the required precautions are taken.
