Traffic restrictions put in place in Georgia

Extreme weather has led to the imposition of traffic restrictions on Georgia's roads, according to the Roads Department. 

All vehicles have been banned from km43-km45 road section of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri highway. 

Off-road vehicles only are permitted on km86-km106 road section of Batumi-Akhaltsikhe highway. 

Trailers and semi-trailers only have been banned from km138–km158 road section of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway and km18-km108 road section of Gori-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi highway.

Trailers and semi-trailers and buses with more than 30-seat capacity are not allowed on: 

a) km-28-km125 road section of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili highway. 

b) km1-km22 road section of Alpana-Tsageri highway. 

c) km30-186 road section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway. However, other vehicles with car tire anti-skid chains and off-road vehicles are allowed here. 

d) km94-km110 road section of Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka highway. 

Also, on km-88-km125 road section of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili highway and Alpana-Tsageri highway, vehicles except for trailers and semi-trailers and buses with more than 30-seat capacity, are permitted with car tire anti-skid chains.
