A transgender woman has been assaulted in Didube district, Tbilisi. The incident occurred on 4 June, says the Equality Movement.
The assaulter reportedly paid the transgender woman a compliment; however, after finding out that he was talking with a transgender woman, he punched his victim in the face.
The victim of physical assault called the police, and the offender was apprehended.
The Equality Movement is now pursuing the victim's interests. The offender was required to post a bail of GEL 2,000.
