The Roads Department of Georgia says that truck traffic has been banned from the Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi highway.
"Snow, low temperatures, and icy roads have resulted in banning trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats capacity from km1-km36.5 section of the Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi highway (the border with Turkey), which is of international significance.
Other modes of transport are permitted," the Roads Department says.
