All international institutes, leaders, editions, experts admit that Georgia has the lowest fatality rate in Europe per one million of the population. In line with other approached, Plaquenil has contributed to the result – said the Head of Infectious Disease Hospital, Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
“At a certain moment, the data revealed that the Plaquenil had several side-effects. The Social Committee at the WHO, a group of experts has studied the issue and concluded that data do not correspond to reality. No side-effects are proved with Plaquenil use, and preparation was returned to the clinical research. It is delightful information for us, as we were using it for three months and were satisfied with its effect. We reacted to both decisions of WHO when we removed the preparation and returned it in use, as recommended. Plaquenil was and is now used for critical and complicated cases of the disease.” – said Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
