The fight with coronavirus will be considered successful only in case when the country will manage to sustain the current situation after lifting the lockdown, said the Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital.
According to him, it is not a final success what we have now, but it is a success at this stage.
“We are at the crossroad now, which means that starting from 11 this month, the lifting of lockdown will resume the traffic, certain activities, outlets opening and the announced tourist season that will cause the opening of hotels, cafes, bars. Actually, the country returns to its usual, normal life and does it one of the first in Europe; and what is more important, does it on the background of no risk that we are doing it because of extreme need. Some of the European countries are in awful condition, and despite that, they must open because they have to. Remember that success is a success when we manage to sustain the current result after lifting lockdown .” – said Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
