Two citizens, brought from Italy to a hotel in Tskaltubo, were taken to Kutaisi New Infectious Hospital this morning.

Georgian citizens had high temperatures late at night.

According to the press office of the clinic, their condition is satisfactory, and doctors are waiting for answers from Lugar Laboratory.

There are eight patients hospitalized with the virus.

Ninety-seven citizens from Italy were placed in one of the hotels in Tskaltubo.

The World Health Organization officially announced the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19, on March 11. The organization calls on countries to fight an aggressive disease.

From today, the Georgian government has moved to a state of emergency.

There are 24 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia.

Currently, there are 295 people in quarantine and 49 in inpatient care.
