One employee of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and one employee of the Ministry's contractor cleaning company tested positive on coronavirus. The Ministry of Internal Affairs spreads information about new cases.

As a result of the testing conducted on September 14-15, the infection was confirmed to the patrol inspector of the Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was on a business trip in Adjara.

"All employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who contacted the infected, are under the observation of epidemiologists. The medical staff of the National Center for Disease Control is identifying the source of infection and conducting research. The infected are undergoing treatment at the clinic. Their condition is stable," the agency said.

According to today's data, 2 758 laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus infection got detected in Georgia, out of which 1 412 people have recovered. 41 Georgian citizens have been transferred to Georgia for treatment from abroad, while 19 people died.

There are 6 633 people in quarantine, and 836 people under supervision.
