Two helicopters are involved in firefighting efforts in the vicinity of the village of Shua Krikhi, Ambrolauri Municipality. Emergency Management Service informs that because of the rough terrain, it is difficult to reach fire locations with the required firefighting equipment. Around 150 firefighters are now battling the blaze with individual special equipment, with helicopters assisting them.
The working staff has also been created on the spot, with Deputy Minister Ioseb Chelidze heading it.
No risks of fire spreading exist at this point.
