"The US, with the help of USAID / Georgia, announced a grant program to help Georgia fight the spread of the coronavirus," the US Embassy in Georgia reports the news.

"The US government supports the efforts of the Georgian public to fight COVID-19. Through USAID / Georgia, we are announcing a Rapid Response Grant Program called ACT NOW. The program will assist local organizations working to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Georgia; Provide necessary assistance to high-risk communities; Promote inter-sectoral cooperation to strengthen the country's response efforts; and be effective in responding to other important aspects of the COVID-19 crisis," the embassy said in a statement.

According to them, the grants range from the $ 500 to the $ 5,000 and will be written off within 3 to 7 days.
