US-based Georgian doctor Nana Gegechkori said in her social media post that according to preliminary information, the new Omicron coronavirus variant does not cause more severe symptoms in patients than its predecessors, but it increases reinfection risks.
''The risk of contriving the virus in those who have once had COVID is rather high. Stay safe,'' Nanan Gegechkori wrote.
