The National Environment Agency warns the population about the expected worsening of the weather.
According to the agency, due to heavy rains, landslides are expected to intensify.
"Rain is expected from the afternoon of April 29 till April 30 afternoon in eastern Georgia and the northern mountainous regions of western Georgia. In some places, intense rain, thunderstorms, and hail are possible.
Expected heavy rainfall on Georgian rivers may significantly increase water levels, floods on small rivers and the formation of snow avalanches in the mountainous areas is possible. Rain can cause the emergence of landslides," reads the statement.
