Bidzina Kulumbegov, the medical doctor at the Center of Allergy and Immunology, said that unless more than 90% of Georgian citizens wear face masks properly, lockdown may be extended in the country. In Kulumbegov's words, only 50 or 60% of people are wearing them properly now.
Kulumbegov also called on business sector representatives to follow COVID-19 guidelines and take safety measures.
The Coordination Council decided to stiffen countrywide coronavirus restrictions on 28 November.
