"If the epidemic situation does not worsen within the next week, then the removal of the remaining restrictions, including the curfew, should begin," Alexandre Goginava, an infectious disease specialist at the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told Report.ge.
He said it was important to remove the restrictions within a reasonable time.
"At this stage, the rate of infection is low, and we more or less maintain a stable epidemic situation, although some limitations remain and these are important restrictions, the removal of which may be related to the deterioration of the epidemic situation. However, in my opinion, all restrictions should be gradually removed, and regulations should be eased, including the "curfew."
The current condition allows us to precisely remove all restrictions gradually," Goginava told Report.ge.
There are 388 new coronavirus cases in Georgia in the last 24 hours, while 331 patients recovered and seven died.
