According to Paata Imnadze, the Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, the growth of coronavirus infections should stop 2 weeks after the restrictions are imposed in the country.

Imnadze noted that first of all, the situation should stabilize, after which a decrease in cases is expected.

"We will not have an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the second half of December, which will allow us to reduce the number of cases of the disease. We do not expect a decrease yet, especially in the first days. The first results should be in two weeks," Paata Imnadze said.

Four thousand seven hundred eighty new patients tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia, while 3 489 patients defeated the virus. Information about this got published on the official website created by the government.

According to stopcov.ge, 118 690 people have COVID-19 in the country, of which 102 270 already recovered.

1161 people died due to the virus in Georgia, 37 of them during the last 24 hours.

New regulations will come into force in Georgia from November 28.
