The pandemic-related global economic crisis, which has affected Georgia, the government's economic plan and steps to be taken to assist different businesses and citizens -- these are the issues discussed by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and representatives of the business and finance sector at the meeting in the Administration of the Government.

According to the Prime Minister's Press Office, medium-term economic parameters and the government's economic plan, including the next year's budget, were discussed at the meeting.

Representatives of the business and finance sector named economic challenges that are critical to cope with to realize the medium-term economic development plan.

The meeting participants also focused on the necessity of restoring the coronavirus-crippled economy and providing citizens with employment.

They also discussed steps to be taken to assist citizens and different businesses in improving their financial conditions and strengthening relations between the government, business, and the National Bank in the post-pandemic era.

Maia Tskitishvili, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava were involved in the meeting.

President of the National Bank Koba Gvenetadze attended the meeting remotely. President of Georgian Business Association Soso Pkhakadze, Director-General of the Bank of Georgia Archil Gachechiladze, and Director-General of TBC Bank Vakhtang Butskhrikidze were also present at the meeting.
