The First Deputy Health Minister, Tamar Gabunia, named the category of people to undergo the mandatory PCR tests.
“According to the regulations, the medical personnel, shelter beneficiaries, and their care-takers, people in quarantine, Tb-infected patients, are due to undergo compulsory PCR tests. The method was compulsory for fever centers’ patients as well as patients with pneumonia,” – says Tamar Gabunia.
The list of candidates for the PCR test allows conducting the mandatory testing of high-risk groups with stability
“If a risk of infection spread appears, or a person is tested the virus-positive, it will be immediately revealed, and the person will be isolated from others. It is one of the pre-conditions of efficient and safe resumption of business and social activities. Hence, from the testing point of view, we are absolutely ready, and I believe the number of tests that we accomplish now will increase, and we will have corresponding results,” – says Gabunia.
