The 63-year-old woman, who was confirmed to have coronavirus, was working at the Lilo Market in Tbilisi. Report.ge was informed about the workplace of the woman.

The patient lives in the village of Karajala, Telavi Municipality. She has already been transferred from the boxed department of the Telavi Regional Hospital to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tbilisi.

As Zura Sachishvili, the director of Telavi Hospital told report.ge, the patient applied to the clinic on June 22. A 63-year-old woman was diagnosed with coronavirus by PCR test.

"She was tested as she had bilateral pneumonia. Her condition was completely stable, and she was taken to Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital. PCR test confirmed the infection. However, she will undergo another testing for verification. I am aware that epidemiologists are working in Karajala and are investigating woman's contacts," Sachishvili said.

Specialists suggest that this is not a local case and that the woman got infected at work.

A group of epidemiologists is already working in the village to determine the source and contacts.

Three new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia today, and the number of infected people increased to 911. The number of those recovered increased by seven and reached 768.

Fourteen people died of coronavirus in the country.
