"We are extremely saddened about the fatal accident in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, which claimed 17 people left others injured and hospitalized. We express deep sympathy on behalf of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and personally on my behalf. We pray for the souls of people who have died to rest in peace," the Ecumenical Patriarch letter says.
