All embassies and consulates are working in an emergency regime in Europe. All of them have got instructions on the services, consultations, and assistance to be provided to citizens of Georgia. Davit Zalkaliani provides information.

He has arranged a video conference with the diplomatic representatives of Georgia abroad.

“It is particularly important in this situation that our citizens have communication and information sharing opportunity about alternative routes to return if they decide to leave the country of residence.” – said Zalkaliani

Zalkaliani mentioned that besides the information on alternative routes offered by Turkish Airlines and the canceled air tickets remuneration, it is important that Georgian citizens are informed on direct flights' opportunities that still exist.

According to him, the government is working with companies to define options of direct flights from other European countries’ capital cities.

“The information is available on the Ministry’s hotline for 24 hours a day. All embassies and consulates are obliged to work in this regime.” – said Zalikaliani.

According to the Foreign Ministry’s information, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry to activate the working regime of the country representations abroad in helping Georgian citizens with communication on the alternative routs to return to Georgia, including the provision of additional flights by Georgian air companies.
