The trial of Zurab Budagashvili, Besik Tamliani, Tsotne Soselia and Kakhaber Kupreishvili arrested on the June 20 case is underway at Tbilisi City Court. As a preventive measure they are being held in custody.
According to Zurab Budagashvili's lawyer, Vakhtang Iashvili, after his client made a statement at the trial saying that he was being asked to testify against Nika Melia, Irakli Okruashvili and Gigi Ugulava, he was taken to solitary cell.
The lawyer explains that Budagashvili's conditions have worsened. Iashvili thinks that the reason is the statement made by the accused.
Budagashvili's mother also speaks about pressure on her son.
"I was with Zura yesterday. Nothing has changed for the better. I will say everything after the trial is over. My son is still under pressure", Zura Budagashvili's mother Maguli Gobejishvili said.
