The presentation of the book about the first Georgian Olympic champion Davit Tsimakuridze took place at the Georgian National Olympic Committee.
Davit "Amuri" Tsimakuridze won a gold medal at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and became the first Georgian to succeed at the world's largest sports forum.
The book was published with the initiative of the Olympic champion's grandson, Davit Tsimakuridze, with the financial support of the Georgian National Olympic Committee. The author is a famous sports figure Zurab Javakhadze, who died a few months ago. Davit Tsimakuridze's family members attended the presentation today.
