The construction ceremony of the Olympic standard swimming pool took place in Kutaisi, attended by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili.
According to the project, an indoor pool of Olympic standard will be built, which will be 50 meters long and 25 meters wide.
The infrastructure of the pool will be adapted for people with disabilities.
In addition to the Kutaisi, construction of sports complexes has begun in three other cities - Rustavi, Zugdidi, and Akhaltsikhe. All sports complexes are being built with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
