European Gran Prix Rugby Men’s and Women’s 7 will be held in Kutaisi on June 7, 2020.
According to the President of Rugby Union, Gocha Svanidze, the right of hosting is beneficial both from sport and tourism point of view.
“Let me congratulate Georgian rugby fans and particularly the citizens of Kutaisi with the right to host these two very important tournaments. It is very good for raising the tourism potential of the country. There are cheap direct flights from Kutaisi airport to different cities of Europe. Sportsmen and their fans who arrive to Georgia will not limit by only Kutaisi but will also visit Martvili and Okatse canyons, will also learn the potential of Tskaltubo resourt which is particularly interesting for sportsmen,” – said Svanadze.
Aia Arena will host the sporting competition on June 13-14.
