The International Football Association (FIFA) has named the nominees for the 2020 Player of the Year award. As a result of the votes of fans, journalists, coaches, and captains, three finalists will be named later.

The award ceremony will take place on December 17 in Zurich.

Nominees among men are:

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal / Juventus FC)

Robert Lewandowski (Poland / FC Bayern München)

Lionel Messi (Argentina / FC Barcelona)

Nominees among women:

Lucy Bronze (England / Olympique Lyonnais / Manchester City WFC)

Pernille Harder (Denmark / VfL Wolfsburg / Chelsea FC Women)

Wendie Renard (France / Olympique Lyonnais)

The men's list is based on their performance from July 20, 2019, to October 7, 2020, women - from July 8, 2019, to October 7, 2020.
