French footballer Jean-Pierre Adams, who spent 39 years in a coma, has died at the age of 74. The statement came from the press service of the French National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP).
Adams has been in a coma since March 1982. One of the planned knee surgeries, unfortunately, ended fatally due to a basic mistake of the doctors; the player could not come out of anesthesia.
In the mid-1990s, the court sentenced the anesthesiologist and his assistant intern.
C'est avec une profonde tristesse que l'UNFP a appris le décès de l'ancien défenseur international Jean-Pierre Adams à l'âge de 73 ans.
