The international tournament named after the legendary Georgian commentator and actor Kote Makharadze took place.
A team of journalists from 7 countries competed for the main prize in the tournament. Teams of sports journalists from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Moldova participated in the international football tournament.
The International Media Cup tournament started with the remembrance of the famous Azerbaijani journalist, Deputy Secretary-General of the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan, Elnur Ashraf Oglu, who recently died of coronavirus.
The Elnur Ashraf Oglu Special Prize was awarded to Adilbek Zakanov, a member of the Kazakh national team, by the head of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Azerbaijan, Honored Journalist Gabil Mekhtiev.
The winner of the tournament was the Moldovan team.
Kote Makharadze Media Cup is organized by the Georgian Association of Sports Journalists, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, and the International Foundation for Culture, Sports and Youth.
