Georgian weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze has won the gold at Weightlifting World Cup in Italy. The sportsman lifted 200, 210 and 215 kilograms and was announced a champion.
Talakhadze has won the gold medal for the first time.
The newly emerged champion is competing for the world best male weightlifter title, with the online voting available at the International Weightlifting Federation website. Votes may be cast before February 11.
Lasha Talakhadze was awarded the title of the best male lifter in 2017 and 2018.
