The Ambassador of Georgia Giorgi Janjgava participated in a working meeting organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and TURKSOY on April 9, 2021, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Yavuz Selim Kıran. According to the Georgian Embassy in Turkey, the organizational details of the Silk Road Rally 2022 were discussed at the meeting.
"At the meeting, attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the Rally participants and the host countries, the parties discussed the necessary precautionary measures during a global pandemic and the challenges in the organizational process. "Silk Road Rally 2022" will be implemented in several stages. The 12 thousand kilometer route will start in Germany and pass through European countries, Turkey, Georgia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia and end in Mongolia. At the same time, in order to popularize the participating and host countries, various cultural events will be held within the framework of the rally," explains the Embassy of Georgia in Turkey.
The event is supported by UNESCO, WDR, EURONEWS, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of the Republic of Turkey, "Türksoy," the Turkish Public Broadcaster "TRT," and others.
