Soso Tkemaladze was elected President of the Rugby Union on March 10, but the National Agency of Public Registry of Ministry of Justice of Georgia did not register the President due to shortcomings.

According to the Public Registry, following the rugby union charter, the issues approved at the previous meeting (December 30) should have been discussed. However, this did not happen.

The Public Registry set 30 days to correct any deficiencies.

Soso Tkemaladze was elected President of the Rugby Union on March 10.

Initially, on December 30, Irakli Abuseridze was elected President of the Rugby Union. Based on a letter from one of the candidates, Bacho Khurtsidze, the Public Registry did not register him and gave a deadline to correct the deficiencies. The registry rejected Abuseridze's candidacy for the second time. On February 19, Ioseb Tkemaladze was registered as a candidate for the presidency of the Rugby Union.
