South Korea plans to host the 2032 Summer Olympics with North Korea. Seoul has already sent a proposal to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
According to officials, on February 25, the IOC Executive Committee unexpectedly approved the Australian city of Brisbane as the main candidate to host the 2032 Games.
The governments of South Korea and North Korea regretted the decision and consulted with the IOC, saying they would host the Olympics together.
The final host country for the Summer Olympics has not been named yet. The leaders of South and North Korea agreed to cooperate in holding the Olympics in the two countries.
