The oldest person in France and Europe, a 117-year-old woman, was cured of the coronavirus. The woman was diagnosed on January 16 at a nursing home in Toulon. At first, the woman could not even feel that she got infected and was asymptomatic. Loneliness in self-isolation was much more difficult for the nun Andres.

Lucille Randon was born in 1904. In her youth, she worked as a governess. Then became a nun called Andre. For some time, she worked in hospitals and cared for orphans and the elderly. In 1979 she moved to the monastery, and in 2009, got transferred to a nursing home in Toulon. She is the oldest resident of Europe, whose age is documented.

Earlier, in 2020, a 106-year-old British woman was cured of the coronavirus. Connie Titchen underwent a 3-week course of treatment at the clinic and recovered completely.
